Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it. Last updated: September 20, 2026.
We're a small company, not lawyers. A licensed attorney will review this policy as soon as we can afford one. If any part of this page conflicts with the law, the law wins.
1. The short version
We collect only what we need to build and run your website and to talk to you. We never sell your information. We never share it with advertisers. We don't store your card number — Stripe handles payments.
2. What we collect
- Contact details: your name and email address, so we can reach you.
- Business details: your business name, what it does, and anything you tell us in onboarding — this is what we build your site from.
- Order details: which package you bought and when. Payment details stay with Stripe.
- Service usage: the jobs you ask HeyYou to do and when, so we can count your requests fairly.
- Career service materials: résumé text and job descriptions you paste into our forms. These are your information, covered by this policy. We use them only to do the career work you bought — nothing else — and we'll delete them if you ask us to (see section 7).
- Basic technical data: standard web-server information (like your browser type and pages visited) used to keep the site running and secure.
3. Why we collect it
- To build, deliver, and maintain your website and branding.
- To count and fulfill your HeyYou requests.
- To answer you when you email us.
- To send service emails: receipts, onboarding links, delivery notices. No marketing email unless you ask for it.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
4. Who sees your information
- Our small team — the people (and systems) that build and review your work.
- Stripe — processes your payments under their own privacy policy. We never see your full card number.
- Our infrastructure providers — Cloudflare (hosting) and similar services that store and serve the site. They only handle data to provide their service.
We never sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers. We'll only disclose it if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you're a customer, plus a reasonable period afterward for records (like receipts). If you want it deleted, email us — see section 7.
6. Security
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll be honest with you if something goes wrong.
7. Your rights
You can always ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you.
- Fix anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information (we'll keep what the law says we must, like tax records).
- Stop emailing you about anything that isn't essential to your service.

8. Children
Our services are for business owners, who must be at least 18 years old. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date. Big changes will come with an email.
